Birch wood is a popular option for cabinetry due to its unique qualities and versatility. Both White and Red Birch have different characteristics in color and grain; however, both provide a hard and durable surface for constructing cabinetry. Over the years Birch has been one of the top wood species to construct kitchen cabinets out of, however, due to the time it takes to re-grow and harvesting practices, pricing has increased over the last decade and has since climbed to be in the same pricing as Cherry.
